In a flurry of activity, this male Belted Kingfisher dove to catch three fish simultaneously to then return back to his perch, all within the matter of a second or two. The use of a very high shutter speed in combination with direct early morning sunlight showcases the water droplets and feather detail while transitioning rapidly from the water back to his perch.
